100% medical grade 'premium' silicone dilator (sold as 'each') for personal dilation exercises. Used and recommended in NZ by: Gynaecologists, Pelvic Physiotherapists, Registered Nurses.

Material

  • 100% medical grade 'premium' silicone dilator
  • Soft and flexible
  • The silicone is durable and resilient so it can withstand the vaginal environment.
  • Contains no heavy materials, flame retardants, phthalates, bisphenols (used to make polymers and resins, which are then used to make plastic materials), fluorinated compound, PFAS (synthetic chemicals), colourants, antibacterial substances, latex or animal proteins.
  • The material is tested for biocompatibility and conforms to the standards for medical devices, ISO10993-1:2018 and USP class IV

Indications

  • dyspareunia of various causes
  • vaginismus (cramping or spasm of the vaginal muscles)
  • scarring after episiotomy or perineal tear
  • after gynaecological operations
  • during and after radiotherapy or chemotherapy
  • after surgery involving vaginal reduction and scarring
  • skin diseases, e.g. lichen sclerosus
  • vaginoplasty/neovagina
  • vaginal stenosis
Stretching exercises with Vagiwell® are also useful if gynaecological examinations; or the insertion of a tampon are perceived as very painful.

Application

Starting with the smallest size, the dilator is inserted into the vagina and left there for several minutes. Once one size can be inserted without discomfort, you should immediately move on to the next size. The exercises should be performed in a relaxed sitting or lying position.

Unless otherwise recommended by your doctor, the exercises should be repeated daily.
